ABOUT

I'm a Hyderabad-based Director of Photography with 8 years of experience across commercial TVCs, fashion editorials, food campaigns and architectural films. Instead of specializing in one genre, I taught myself the craft of each discipline individually lighting, composition and direction suited to the format, not one style stretched over everything. I work across cinema, stills and native 9:16 social content, using ARRI, RED and Sony camera systems matched to the brief. I've shot for Zomoz, Avon Cycles, Vrindavan and Trident Spaces, among others across India. Available for projects nationally, and open to travel.

MY JOURNEY

HOW I GOT HERE

I didn't come up through film school. It started with YouTube tutorials and a phone camera teaching myself the basics before I ever touched a proper camera.

My first real break was an internship at a mall, shooting testimonials and architecture first time I was shooting for someone other than myself, with a brief to follow. Not long after, I got my first paid gig: a portfolio shoot for kids. Small job, but it put me in front of people, and one shoot led to the next.

That flow led me into film features, movies for about a year and a half. It taught me how a proper set runs, but somewhere in there I realized filmmaking wasn't the path I wanted to stay on.

So I went back to learning this time assisting photographers who specialized in fashion, architecture and food. That's where the real education happened: how to compose a frame, light a dish so it looks like it tastes good, direct a model, read a space. Each one is its own craft, and I learned them one at a time, on other people's sets, before I ever tried them on my own.

Eventually I had enough range to go out on my own finding clients, running my own shoots, building what's on this site now. I'm still doing that. Every project is still a chance to get better at one more thing.
